Would You Buy A Lamborghini V10 From Aliexpress?

Acquiring an Italian V10 might seem enticing – but should you go for it or be sensible and avoid it?

Would You Buy A Lamborghini V10 From Aliexpress?

  • A used Lamborghini Gallardo V10 is listed on Aliexpress for $58,658.86.
  • Seller has no proven track record and only joined Aliexpress in July 2025.
  • Engine fits only the Gallardo, despite claims it suits multiple Lamborghinis.

Times are tough, and all of us want a good deal wherever we can find it. If you happen to be in the one-percenter club, things are definitely bit better, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want a bargain. This Lamborghini V10 engine on Aliexpress might seem tempting, but it’s probably a questionable purchase for anyone who clicks “buy now” without doing their homework.

It would be easy to play this up as a cheap knockoff V10 that has basically nothing to do with Sant’ Agata at all, especially given the history of certain manufacturers producing imitation parts. That’s not what we expect here, though. Based on everything we see, this is a genuine Lambo V10. It’s still ten cylinders of questionable thought.

What The Listing Claims

Listed on Aliexpress for a cool $58,658.86, this is a naturally aspirated V10 from a 2009-2014 Gallardo. The listing even mentions the LP560-4, which indicates this engine should make around 552 horsepower (412 kW) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) of torque. That’s nothing to turn one’s nose up at but the rest of this listing sure is. First, the main descriptive line says “for Lamborghini Aventador Huracan Urus Gallardo”.

I realize that not everyone keeps track of what Lamborghini puts under the hood of each model it sells so let’s break this down. Of those four vehicles, only two use a V10 – and only one is actually built with this engine in mind. Slapping this into an Aventador or an Urus without huge fabrication changes would be nearly impossible.

Questions About The Seller

I’m not certain about how hard it would be to install into a Huracan since it also used a 5.2-liter V10, but it would be a downgrade on power even if it bolted right up. There are bigger issues though. The shop selling the engine has existed for less than a month as of this writing. Aliexpress openly says that it began selling on the platform on July 6, 2025.

Suffice it to say, it hasn’t really built up a track record of excellence yet. Who’s to say that this engine, which appears to be a genuine used example from a salvage yard, doesn’t have a major internal issue that the buyer will end up stuck with if this firm just disappears next week? On top of that, there’s a chance that rather than a real genuine Lamborghini engine, this is just a completely fake replica.

As Donut found out under a month ago in a video report, a replica Toyota 2JZ engine from China’s Alibaba was comically bad. Not only did it have cracks in the block, but out-of-round pistons and metal shavings in the oil pan.

Price Doesn’t Always Equal Value

We haven’t even gotten to the craziest part yet. Aliexpress is typically known for being the go-to place for cheap goods. Even some very well-reviewed high-quality products are available for pennies on the dollar compared to name brands.

That said, this is a comically expensive used V10 even by Lamborghini standards. Right now, there’s an Underground Racing tuned Gallardo V10 on eBay for just $52,500. Not only does it come from a shipper in the USA, but it details what it was built for and the build itself, and comes from a seller with a great track record. In the end, the lesson is clear: buying exotic engines on Aliexpress is a risky business.
