Bugatti is preparing to open a new chapter in its long tradition of coachbuilding, one that centers on an “ultra-exclusive program of one-of-one cars.” The new initiative officially begins on August 7, when the first custom-built model will be unveiled. A series of cryptic teasers has already offered an early look at what to expect.

The model is described as “a celebration of grace and elegance, rooted in the unique artistry and heritage of the Bugatti story, our latest Solitaire.” The teasers reveal a wide horseshoe grille with an aluminum finish, positioned above a carbon fiber splitter.
A portion of the rear deck is also visible, featuring a coupe-style rear windscreen that may double as an engine cover. The model is finished in a vibrant shade of green, a color more commonly associated with Bentley.
More Than Just Another Hypercar
While it might seem logical to assume the one-off creation shares its platform with the recently unveiled Bugatti Tourbillon, the tone of the social media posts suggests otherwise. Bugatti’s caption reads: “Not simply customized, completely unique. Prepare to reimagine what defines a Bugatti, one singular vision at a time. Every curve sculpted with purpose. Every detail crafted to perfection.”
That language points toward a vehicle that could differ meaningfully from the Tourbillon’s architecture. This has led to speculation in the comments section, with some suggesting the Solitaire could take the shape of a luxury SUV or crossover.
Others are hoping for a return to the high-end grand touring segment, potentially in the spirit of the Galibier fastback sedan concept from 2009 or even a reimagined version of the cancelled 2015 Bugatti Atlantic coupe.

Bugatti even mentions the classic Type 57 SC Atlantic in their release, which also served as an inspiration for the ultra-expensive La Voiture Noire one-off from 2019. The latter was based on the Bugatti Chiron, as with a series of few-offs including the Centodieci, Divo, and W16 Mistral.
Whether this new chapter of coachbuilding will branch out into different platforms and powertrains remains to be seen, though it’s clear the company is expanding beyond traditional forms.

The Tourbillon, for comparison, is underpinned by a carbon fiber monocoque and features a naturally aspirated 8.3-liter V16 engine, working alongside three electric motors. This hybrid setup delivers a combined 1,775 hp (1,324 kW / 1,800 PS), making it the most powerful production Bugatti to date, well ahead of the W16-powered models that came before.
It has been confirmed that the new model will be part of The Perridon Collection, a private gathering of rare Bugattis owned by Dutch businessman Michel Perridon. Often described as the world’s largest Bugatti collection, it will soon have this unique creation added to its ranks.
We’ll know more when the official reveal happens on August 7. Until then, keep an eye on Bugatti’s social media channels for additional teasers.
